Children now more then ever need to express what they are feeling in the current lock-down. Therefore we’ll be going ahead with the 2020 competition and pupils can start to submit their poems via the website.
*Winning poem will be turned into a song
*Invitation to a House of Lords award event when life returns to normal.
*A private zoom session with me to encourage their creativity.
The deadline for submissions is September 21st.
The winners will be announced on October 1st, National Poetry Day.
More information, terms and conditions are on the website.
This year we’ve added a new category, ‘The Best School Poem‘, in which pupils will be able to write a collaborative poem and compete on behalf of the school.
